Militias prepare coordinated attacks on churches and Christian villages in Southern Kaduna, intelligence warns

A critical intelligence advisory issued on November 1, 2026, has raised maximum security alerts for Christian populations across Southern Kaduna State in north-central Nigeria. Critical intelligence reports indicate an imminent and high-probability threat of coordinated attacks targeting Christian communities and religious institutions across Southern Kaduna. The severity of the warning has mobilized local community leaders and international observers amid risks of violent raids on villages and places of worship.

According to details published in the threat advisory by Truth Nigeria, Fulani Ethnic Militias are actively mobilizing for devastating operations. Militants are organizing to execute scorched-earth operations across multiple rural and urban locations in the region. The pattern of mobilization indicates that extremist forces seek to maximize destruction against community infrastructure and gathering points of believers.

High-risk zones and the transport corridor

The intelligence evaluation outlined specific sectors where danger is most pressing, advising residents and local defense units to exercise extreme caution. Identified high-risk zones include Sabon Sarki District, Jaban Kogo, and the axis between Jaba and Kagarko. In addition to these agricultural and residential areas, another critical point identified in the advisory is the highway corridor connecting the federal capital, Abuja, to Kaduna city.

The tactics planned by the militias extend beyond raids on unarmed villages. Terrorists are planning ambushes against local community defense groups, military personnel, security checkpoints, and commuters on the Abuja-Kaduna road. This broad strategy aims to neutralize response capabilities of state security forces and community guards before village incursions are consolidated.

Surge in farm abductions signals impending assaults

The validation of the threat level rests upon a recent pattern of violence observed on the ground over preceding weeks. The reliability of this threat is underscored by the recent surge in farm-level attacks and abductions across the agricultural zone. Security analysts note that smaller-scale rural strikes typically precede large-scale raids, serving to test official response times.

The escalation of these preparatory actions indicates that militant planning has reached a critical stage of maturity. The momentum of these recent activities suggests that large-scale operations are now in the final stages of execution by armed groups. In previous episodes across Southern Kaduna, violent patterns have involved the destruction of crops, burning of places of worship, and forced displacement of thousands of Christian families from ancestral lands.
